The Harley Quinn Silver Miniature is the latest addition to the popular silver miniature series released by the New Zealand Mint. Today, we explore what the clown princess of crime herself has to offer.
Harley Quinn (Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel) is a character in DC Comics. She first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series in September 1992. Harley Quinn is a deranged and psychotic character that loves to flirt with danger. She stars to fandom in 2016 film suicide squad where the character was portrayed by actress Margot Robbie. In the film, she met Joker while working as an intern psychiatrist at Gotham City’s Arkham Asylum and falls madly in love with him. She became a member of the supervillain team suicide squad as her story continues.
Standing at approximately 9.5 cm tall, this amazing silver miniature is made of at least 135 gram of sterling silver. Dressed in her trademark clown suit, the clown princess of crime poses with her weapon of destruction, the oversized mallet, waiting to perform eccentric acts to wow its audience.
Holding the gigantic mallet with just one hand, it shows the strength of Harley Quinn despite her petite size. The mallet is a well fitting weapon for Harley Quinn since she uses it with surgical level of precision. We are glad that the mallet was part of the design instead of the revolver and the baseball bat which she uses in suicide squad.
Zooming down to her costume, we noticed the “three of diamonds” featured in different part of the costume, most apparent on the side of the long pants. The iconic “three of diamonds” design is due to the first love letter written on a 3 of diamond playing card given by her lover, Joker.
Rotating to the back of the miniature, it shows Harley Quinn perky ass and her hourglass figure perfected with her body hugging suit. “Don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like me”, exclaimed Harley Quinn.
The miniature arrives inside a high quality Harley Quinn themed case showing the comic portrait of herself. The background is painted blue and pink, reflecting the wild color of Harley Quinn hair in suicide squad. The shadow of Gotham City appears alongside the case together with the “three of diamonds” and the DC logo.
It is worth noting that the miniature is on a stand which shows a metal plate confirming the name, series number, unique production number and New Zealand Mint authentication. The picture used is “0001”, the first in the limited production of 1000.
