- Simpsons Duff Beer
First up is Springfield’s favourite brand of beer, the duff beer produced by the Perth Mint of Australia. This 1 oz silver coin is shaped in the form of a beer and housed in a clear acrylic case, allowing both sides of the coin to be displayed. It also comes with a Simpsons theme box and a certificate of authencity. Limited Mintage of 5,000 pieces worldwide.
2. Suicide Squad – Deadshot
Next up is the most prolific assassin in the DC Comics universe, Deadshot. This fun and colourful 1oz silver coin depicts the character as portrayed by Will Smith in 2016’s film Suicide Squad. This is also the final coin release in the suicide squad series by the Perth Mint. The previous 2 coin in the series features “Joker” and “Harley Quinn”.
3. Donald Duck 85th Anniversary
In collaboration with Disney, New Zealand Mint celebrates Donald Duck’s 85th Anniversary with a range of super cute, Donald Duck themed collectibles. The range includes two gold coins, a 2oz Ultra High Relief silver coin, a silver coin note and the very first Disney pure silver miniature to feature the lovable duck. These are sure to be a hit among Disney fans.
4. Echoes of Australian Fauna – Night Parrot
The Royal Australian Mint honours the elusive Night Parrot with this exquisite Nickel Plated Fine Silver Proof Coin. This is the last of the Echoes of Australian Fauna series which also features the Lesser Bilby and Tasmanian Tiger. For all wildlife and animal lovers, don’t miss out. Limited Mintage of 5,000 pieces worldwide.
5. Deep shark shaped coin
PAMP Suisse has announced the new Hunters of the Deep coin series. This is a three coin series that will start off with the famed deep-sea predator, the Great White Shark coin. This coin features a detailed outline of the Great White Shark with anatomic carvings which brings the shark to life. The Hammerhead Shark and Tiger Shark are rumored to be the next 2 subsequent release.
5. ANA World’s Fair of Money
Every year, the American Numismatic Association (ANA) hosts the World’s Fair of Money in a major metropolitan market. It is a convention that features all things related to coin collecting and draws thousands of collectors from around the world. This year, the ANA is returning to Chicago (Rosemont) Ill., Aug. 13-17.
Attendees can find out what their old coins and paper money might be worth, build their collections and participate in live auctions with Heritage Auctions and Stack’s Bowers Galleries.
There are also more than 500 dealers from across the nation attending this event and you can be sure of new coin releases.
